Job Opportunities at Hasenstab Architects!

Hasenstab Architects, located in Akron, Ohio, is seeking an experienced Health Care Architect, as well as a Specifications Writer. Please see below for job descriptions.

Health Care Architect:

Registration and a minimum five years experience in practice is required. The candidate should be able to fulfill a role as a project manager; as such, professional presence and demonstrated client contact skills are a must.

We expect an understanding of and experience with forward-thinking medical design, project budgets, construction costing, and construction detailing. Revit skills are a definite plus, as are modeling and rendering capabilities.

Our primary markets are health care, laboratory/research facilities, and higher education. Experience in these other markets are a plus as well.

Integrated Project Delivery (IPD) experience should be highlighted.

Specifications Writer:

The successful candidate is expected to develop and manage an office wide specification system, along with leading the firm’s contract document quality control process.  The successful candidate is expected to:

  • Prepare project specifications and manage office wide specifications for use by project teams.
  • Participate in document/project manual coordination with multiple project teams.
  • Conduct office wide education program related to technical specification issues.
  • Perform quality control reviews of documents and specifications.
  • Stay abreast of cutting edge material development and research for dissemination to office staff, by participating in building industry events, conferences and organizations.
  • Have a working knowledge of building code requirements and their relationship to project specifications.
  • CCS certificate, LEED accreditation and construction administration experience is preferred.
