Cooper Cancer Center
The 77,000-SF Cooper Cancer Center at Summa Health’s Akron City Hospital campus includes medical office space, research facilities, infusion therapy space, administrative/support space, time-share offices and radiation therapy space. In addition to cancer treatment, the facility also offers services such as support groups, pain management, access to social workers, cancer-care coordinators and psychological counseling.
To improve the overall level of comfort for patients and their families, the Cancer Center provides larger treatment spaces with increased privacy. In line with a patient-focused approach, the infusion therapy area offers private treatment spaces separated by modular dividers to give patients and family as much privacy as they desire. Each infusion bay faces a large expanse of windows to give patients a soothing view of the outdoors during the sometimes lengthy treatment process.
