Wooster Community Hospital
Hasenstab Architects is currently providing professional design for an addition to the North side of Wooster Community Hospital. The new Ambulatory Pavilion will house the Hospital’s outpatient Cancer Center, as well as radiology services, ambulatory care and future physician office space.
Project goals for the Ambulatory Pavilion include consolidating all cancer services into one area, creating a new entry for the program, improving the overall patient experience and providing space for future growth.
By designating a separate entry point, a new image is able to be created for the cancer center. The entrance also provides easy access to patient parking. The warm, inviting lobby welcomes patients and families, as well as provides clear way finding for a seamless and comforting experience.
The 40,500 square foot cancer center will have 17 wellness suites with infusion bays that overlook a garden, as well as 11 exam rooms, associated support areas and shell space to accommodate program expansion. The addition is also designed to accommodate and additional floor in the future.
