We’re adding another project to our growing list of LEED® Certified projects! Our renovation/addition project at John Carroll University Murphy Hall has achieved LEED® Silver certification. This 95,600-square-foot building is the largest residence hall on campus.

Some of the sustainable elements incorporated into the project included: New operable windows and doors; well-insulated and highly-reflective roofing; maintenance and re-use of the building shell; and energy-efficient lighting, electrical, and mechanical systems. Other features included electronically controlled low-flow plumbing fixtures, rainwater collection for irrigation, low-odor materials with recycled content and multiple areas for resident recycling.
