Construction is well under way for the new Akron Children’s Hospital Beeghly Campus Emergency Department. Check out the preview below!
The addition and renovation will completely modernized the existing pediatric emergency department, which was originally built in 1985. The design for the new facility will expand its capacity to a total of 23 rooms consisting of six fast track rooms, 15 treatment rooms (including three that can be used for behavioral health patients), and two resuscitation rooms. The pediatric ED design also allows for future expansion if volume continues to increase.
