Meet Our Summer 2023 Interns
We would like to introduce our summer 2023 interns!
This year we welcome Delaney Rice, Joseph Norman and Taylor Wilkins. Based in our Pittsburgh office, Delaney is a 3rd year architecture student at Carnegie Mellon University. Taylor is entering her 3rd year in architecture at The Ohio State University. Joseph is a 4th year architectural student at Kent State University. Both Taylor and Joseph are working in our Akron office.
Joseph might look familiar to some of you – he was a summer intern at Hasenstab last year and liked it here so much he came back!
We asked our new interns to tell us a little bit about why they chose architecture as a career path and what they find exciting about it:
Joseph: “Architecture as a profession piqued my interest as the field is influenced by so many aspects of our world. Architects must negotiate between social, environmental, and functional factors (and many others) to develop a cohesive and successful project. I am intrigued by designing with each of these factors as we try to build a better world through social and physical means.”
Delaney: “I’ve wanted to study architecture for as long as I can remember. The way in which people interact with different spaces and structures has always been exciting for me. I’m really looking forward to learning more about this at Hasenstab this summer.”
Taylor: “My favorite part of being an architecture student is being able to combine problem solving with my love for creativity and the arts. My other favorite part is the people, spending hours in studio with people who share my interests has given me some of the best friends I’ll ever have.”
Welcome to Hasenstab Joseph, Delaney and Taylor – we’re so excited to have you on our team for the next couple of months!
